Grievance 54 - Competence
The U.S. Constitution failed to set mental and physical health standards for President that would avoid potential aberrant behavior affecting the course of the nation and millions of lives. Requirements for many private and government jobs with relatively minor authority included medical and drug-free examinations, but people were elected President and "Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces", with enough firepower to launch mass death and destruction, with no periodic examination for mental health, or alcohol or other drug and chemical imbalance, that could pose public danger. An individual could become Chief Executive Officer of the trillion dollar government while having mental disorders or even "temporary insanity", with no checks and balances in law for stability in behavior. There was no requirement that candidates for President make public their medical records, or that the office-holder undergo regular medical examination for brain tumors, heart ailments or other health threats, in order that the American people would be informed of any problems that could result in succession of the Vice President to the highest office in the land. With an AUTHENTIC CONSTITUTION in harmony with the natural Cosmic Laws of the universe, and producing High Moral Values and Democratic Ideals, individuals selected to hold exceptional governing authority, are required to meet mental and physical health standards determined by a vote of the people at-large. |
